The Business Manager is a key strategic member of the management team overseeing all financial, administrative and compliance matters of the business.  They lead a wide variety of projects including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as continual business operations and process improvement projects. The position requires a hands-on, organized, and detailed-oriented professional leader to interface with all levels of the company, both internally and with external partners.

You won’t be alone!  There is an assistant to help lighten the load, allowing you to focus on more important tasks throughout the days and weeks. Not to mention the comradery and support among the Business Managers throughout the company. This position oversees about 5 direct reports.

This position reports to the General Manager, has reporting requirements to the Corporate Office and will be responsible for all financial matters including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, capital expenditures, periodic reporting, and budgets.   Also responsible for processing payroll and handling all matters regarding employee relations, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, terminations, recruitment, and benefits.  You will oversee all administrative matters of the business, ensuring office integrity and security for all employees.  You will provide key support and financial information that will assist the General Manager and Department Heads in making informed decisions for the success of the business.   The Business Manager supports the efforts of the business unit in meeting various deadlines and compliance requirements for daily operations.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Accounting, Finance or Economics majors preferred (CPA or MBA a plus).
  • 4 years of hands-on experience with payroll, including wage and hour guidelines.
  • 6 years of progressive accounting experience, Broadcasting background a plus.
  • 3 years of Supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel and Word) is required.
  • ERP Systems experience required (Sage Intacct a plus).
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize daily routine and multi-task.
