A diverse, privately held, and growing local TV broadcast organization, offering a broad range of advertising, marketing, and programming solutions for their local markets is looking for their next General Manager in their markets in the Upper Northwest. This position has a home base in one market but will oversee 2 other local markets.
An interested Station Manager must have experience working in small or medium-sized markets and a proven track record of maximizing revenue, inventory, employee performance, and training as well as have a desire to be a leader in the local community. These stations are primed for immediate success, all it needs is a motivator and a little forward-thinking vision to take it to the next level.

Job Duties and Expectations:
- Revenue Management: Oversee all duties related to revenue generation, including forecasting, budgeting, inventory management, setting goals, and pricing strategies to maximize station profitability.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies and promotions to drive revenue growth. Create and manage sales events and promotions to engage clients and increase sales.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in community events and activities to build relationships and represent the station. Engage with local businesses and community leaders to foster partnerships and opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach the sales team, participating in client meetings and building relationships with top clients. Motivate and guide staff to achieve performance goals and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with other department to create and implement lead generation opportunities and promotional strategies that enhance the station’s visibility and engagement.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Utilize data to make informed decisions and adjustments to strategies.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for sales staff to enhance their skills and performance. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to sales management.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to understand market trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences. Use insights to inform sales strategies and business decisions.
- Operational Management: Ensure efficient operation of the station, including managing daily activities, addressing operational challenges, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Report weekly to the CRO/CEO on sales performance, market trends, and operational issues. Provide comprehensive updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Relocation: Must be willing to relocate the market to fully engage with the local community and manage the station effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a broadcast sales manager.
- 5+ years of TV sales experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with excellent leadership skills for motivating staff and maximizing revenue performance.
- Proficiency with OSI and COMSCORE is a plus.
